Oh joy, yet another test.  And I’m a tad strange, seemingly …  … I took a look at what the diagnosis said about me with reference to the “High” aspects.  In a nutshell it would appear that I seek out jobs involving little contact with others [I work in a school … I see as many as 150 kids a day *shrugs*], I cling to people in order not to lose them, I’ll remain in abusive relationships [I thought I got out of that one *shrugs again*], and I have difficulty expressing my emotions [nope, I cry when I’m watching EastEnders ].  I agreed with little bits though – I can be a bit compulsive/obsessive with some things … cracks in the pavement and turning off all electrical appliances for fear of fire!  Otherwise I think that it must be wrong.  But who said we have to trust Net tests anyway?

I often find myself being heartbroken by the kids at school.  It’s rewarding to discover that they trust me enough to talk about their personal lives but it can be very emotional.  I’m not talking about the “big” confidences which can end up involving Social Services (that happened in a previous school and to find out the next day that the boy in question had been placed in a foster home “for his own protection” made it all too real) but the little things that matter in the daily lives of some of these kids.  What makes it heartbreaking is that they accept these things as normal and many of them are going to end up living lives that I just can’t imagine and it’s all down to the way they were treated as nippers.  It makes me sad  …

God Bless kids who think it’s normal to have their mother neglect them xxx Elsabeth

  1. Ohhhhhh! ‘Ello!
Did the motivation blokie come round and poke you with a big stick the same as me?
    Nice to see you back
Do you ever wish you could parent some of those kids? I see some really snotty, rude and probably unloved kids quite a bit, and even though I have no desire to REALLY parent them, I feel as though I would have made them nice kids if I had been their parent..yeah? No? Am I unbalanced or summit?
    See ya xx
