1. List five things you’d like to accomplish by the end of the year.
Hmmm… the end of the year is nigh. I love this time of year when it’s all cosy and warm inside and as the sun sets the sky goes an orangey/pink colour. And what would I like to accomplish within the next month or so? I’d like my awful Year 8 class to finally listen to me. I want to lose a few pounds so I can enjoy all those festive food treats. I must get tickets to see Busted when they play here next July (yes, so very sad, but it might be a laugh). I’m desperate to achieve level 6 in Superdudes. And I want to make a cushion cover.
2. List five people you’ve lost contact with that you’d like to hear from again.
Ah, so many. I’m quite bad when it comes to staying in touch with people. My best friend from my university days is someone I would love to get to know again. My stepsisters. I was good friends with them but I now have no idea of how to get in touch with them apart from through my dad and it wouldn’t be worth all the hassle. My American pen pal. We’ve been in contact since we were seventeen but mails/letters have been quite sporadic over the last couple of years. The last I heard she was due to have a baby in August. I must mail her. My cousins on my dad’s side. I made contact last Christmas with my cousin but that was through a letter and ideally I need to actually see her again. I haven’t seen her since my nana’s funeral in 1996. She’s my Godmother as well. And I was her bridesmaid when I was eight. She was my heroine when I was a nipper.
3. List five things you’d like to learn how to do.
Make cushions. Bungee jump. Drive. Teach. Take myself less seriously.
4. List five things you’d do if you won the lottery (no limit).
As if that will ever happen. I would spend the money on a round-the-world trip, taking in places such as America, New Zealand, Russia, Brazil. I would buy each of my brothers a brand new house and car. I would treat mumsy to anything she desired. I’d buy a Ferrari for The Blokey (I can’t see the attraction in them myself). And I’d open savings accounts for my nephews and niece to be sure that their futures were fairly financially secure.
5. List five things you do that help you relax.
Listen to music … the sort of music that I’ll listen to depends entirely on how I’m feeling at any given time. Baths are a wonderful way to relax. Especially when they have lots of bubbles. Read. I could read for hours and I’ll read almost anything from Enid Blyton to horror to soppy books aimed at thirty-something women. Walk. I like to walk, especially on Autumnal days. Talk to the rabbit. He doesn’t answer me back or tell me that I’m wrong, bless his little cotton socks.
Tomorrow I’m off to Cambridge. We’re going to see Al Murray. It’s part of The Blokeys birthday present and I forgot that I’d bought the tickets until after I’d bought him lots of other goodies. It should be a laugh. I’m not too sure if the seats will be any good but it’s the atmosphere that counts…
