Oh. That was Christmas. It’s gone for another year – *sob*. But it was fun. Presents and food galore, falling asleep during the afternoon film [Stuart Little], enjoying the hyperactivity of the nephews and being good [going to church in the morning]. I did get some lovely gifts. A DKNY watch, a Nicky Clarke hairdryer gift set that needs to be exchanged because it was missing some hair products that were supposed to be with it(!), three perfume bottles to add to my collection plus a perfume bottle collectors book, lots of the obligatory smellies, Chanel No. 5, some things for my “bottom drawer”, and a groovy little Limericks book. I haven’t had a chance to read them yet but I’m sure some of them will be a trifle rude and I shall share them accordingly . I’m such a materialistic girl, going on about my pressies! Oooh, I got a Tippi doll. I think that’s what it’s called. It’s rather dinky.
Some Xmas piccies –
William (5) & Adam (2) holding each others presents …
Time for bed …
The Baby Brother & his partner Tony. Tony looks a trifle zombified. The poor soul was tired … [For those of you who are interested Stephen’s t-shirt proclaims “I’m gonna kick that badgers ass again”!]
My Friday Five –
1. What was your biggest accomplishment this year?
My biggest accomplishment was definitely managing to go back into the teaching profession, albeit part-time, without getting ill again! Hurrah!
2. What was your biggest disappointment?
Nothing really – I’ve had an all-round good year. Oh, apart from my Auntie dying and not knowing she was so ill till it was too late .
3. What do you hope the new year brings?
Two major things – moving in with The Blokey sometime before the summer (fingers crossed) and the other? Well, we’ll just wait and see if it happens .
4. Will you be making any New Year’s resolutions? If yes, what will they be?
Nopers. I never follow them through so I wouldn’t want to disappoint myself.
5. What are your plans for New Year’s Eve?
Myself and The Blokey are off to Norwich for a night of naughtiness and intoxication. I’m not particularly keen on New Year celebrations. I’m a Christmas girl through and through and I would quite happily sleep through the New Year celebrations if I wasn’t worried about being labeled a “party-pooper”.
Very shortly The Blokey will be arriving to whisk me off to Cambridge for more fun and festivities with his family. Another yummy Christmas dinner – I’ll be so bloated in the New Year.
