What the caterpillar calls the end of the world, the master calls a butterfly.

Yesterday my Father-in-Law died.

He had only just turned sixty, and yes – it was unexpected.

My heart aches for my Mother-in-Law, who was looking forward to celebrating thirty-five years of marriage in December and who is absolutely devastated, naturally; for The Blokey and his younger brother, who certainly never expected to have to watch their daddy die at least twenty years before his time; and for my future children who will never get to meet a man who would have made a perfect grandfather.

[i’ve written about what happened in a protected post (below) partly so that i don’t forget and partly because i know some of you may want to know a little bit more.  if you’re not on my list and you want to be then just ask]

please God bless all of us as we come to terms with his sudden loss xxx Elsabeth
